Paraffin heater
« on: September 16, 2009, 09:51:57 »
Can anyone recommend a paraffin heater to be used in an 8x6 polycarbonate greenhouse. Can't have electric as there's no mains supply and propane seems a lot of hassles getting the bottles. Cheers!
Location: North East Spain - freezing cold winters, boiling hot summers with a bit of fog in between.

I was given 6 gallon of paraffin and 2 heaters last year they done a good job BUT as it was new to me i found the setting the wick to the right height so as not to burn out or smoke the green house out was an issue at 1st ::)

Not sure if I'm going to use it this year as paraffin is £6 per 4 litre bottle here.
Been give a full bottle of gas so may try that then work out which is cheapest to run

wheres the best place to buy it?  Have'n't seen it for sale round my way (Swindon, Wilts) and the little hardware store I used to get it from as closed down.
