I have met about thirty A4A members, six of whom have just posted on this thread, Asbean, Eristic, Georgie, grawrc, Lorna and Ollie.  All of them are lovely people.

The only surprise I had was when I met my first member.  It was Lorna.   In the photograph on her Atavar at the time, she looked just like my mother in law.  I was therefore expecting her to be like her in her ways but Lorna was much more self assured, confident and with it.  Very different to my M-I-L who was shy and retiring.

Well if I see a clever person (who did well in the quiz) and looks like a stick of rhubard I will know it is you.

yep, that's me all right - Secret Love Child of Victoria Beckham and Stephen Hawking  :D Don't ask me how they did it  :o

Pauline you and your Niece Kathi were the first members I met when I was kindly invited to Kathi's (local) house for tea. Remember those lovely cones?
:) :) I have taken your comments as a compliment.

Poor Dan has never met any of us, perhaps he likes it that way.  I am sure he has opinions of all of us.  Lorna's photo is a red cross, so perhaps she is posting incognito.

Definitely a compliment Lorna.  My mother in law was a lovely person too, but not very sure of herself; a bit timid.

You have a better memory than me Lorna.  I can't remember the cones!  Were they cakes or ice cream?

I have met Manicscousers x 2, Mal and Ray. Exactly as I imagined, smashing people.  :)

;D ;D ;D  Didn't we have scones with Kathi's home made mirabelle jam?

I have problems with my keyboard since I spilt orange juice all over it.  With me it is the letter K and because I have to push hard on it, it sometimes types 2 or 3 times.

Well I've only met two people and both of them don't seem to post on here like they used to, Cambourne was one and I know she was moving and had a new job but haven't heard from her for some time.

We stayed with emaggie last year, lovely lady, lovely, welcoming family, I suppose it must seem a bit strange to some, inviting someone to stay in your home when you've only seen written posts  ;D
Then, we went to saddad's open day and met lots more lovely people, I think most gardeners are nice, friendly people, the ones who aren't stay away from things  ;D

We've had the pleasure of the company of Hyacinth, Supersprout & Cleo.

Our judgement was sound!

Have met Heldi, Hyacinth and Katynewbie, and they were all exactly how I imagined them.  All absolutely lovely brilliant people. I always think it is amazing how much a person's personality can come over, from just a few lines on a message board.  :) busy_lizzie

Even if one only stayed for a few minutes the first time before clearing off to A&E??
