Gourd - Snake & Russian Doll
« on: September 11, 2009, 22:42:24 »
This year I tried a novelty plant for the kids to paint after harvest, several plants of gourd -  Snake and Russian Doll.    They are planted in manure and are healthy green plants.  Both are prolific climbers but there are no gourd on either.  Any ideas or is everybody else having the same problem....

I think it could be that the weather hasn't been warm enough.  I have lots of snakes (which look more like worms than snakes) and lots of gourds on a Bangladeshi plant but none of them are bigger than a plum.
The last time I had really long snakes was a few years ago when we had a really hot summer.
