She is a cuddly cutie and we're so glad to hear all is well with you, too. A job well done.
I'd say get your sleep but know that is impossible! Accept all help while you heal and keep those pictures coming.

 Baby Girl Lives Here Now

In the corner of the spare room,
There's a little cradle now:
And the day-to-day routine
Has gotten busier somehow.
There's a bib among the napkins--
And a talcumy perfume
Drifts around the little toys
That lie about the room.
The little teddy bear stands guard
With his round and rolly eyes
When all the house is still
But for the sounds of lullabies.
Yet even without all these things,
It's still obvious somehow
From the happiness that fills the air--
A baby girl lives here now
For charming you, disarming you,
and giggling with glee.
Babies are for kissing and missing
when you're gone,
For walking with & talking with, and putting booties on.
Babies are a pleasure, a treasure from above,
They're to adore, but even more,
Babies are for love

Well done Mummy :)

Very many congratulations from me too Louise. Lovely pics, she's adorable. I think that the pain of childbirth is a pain that is soon forgotten, so look after yourself and that lovely baby. Hope you've got lots of help.

Hi Guys,

Well baby is here sorry i have not updated you all but its been a little manic and i am very tired and sore.

Her name is Harriet Lucy :)

Photos - http://s109.photobucket.com/albums/n61/cambourne7/baby/

Birth story well -

Waters broken 6.30 am Sunday
Contractions for about 30-45 min every 5-10 min the stopped.
Checked into fetal assessment unit and the confirmed my waters had broken and told me if labour did not start to call 7pm Monday to come in.

Nothing happened so in I went. Induced at 11 pm mw was incacapable of getting my catharher in so got 2 blown veins on on left hand and one right arm, I would not let her have another go so she got someone else who popped this into my right hand. So 2 arms useless for a few hours. 6 hours later I was 1 inch dialated with contractions every 4-5 min, the started me on the hormone drip and contractions got stronger and now every 2 min. So this was at about 5am Tuesday morning they assessed

Me again 6 hours later so 11am ish was 2 to 3cm and found the membrane had not rubtured but cervix was soft so she went in and ruptured with a hook. Had pethadine at 2pm, had been coping with tens from 9am. When contractions and cramps peaked at next assesment and had only got to a good 3cm I had an epidural but in because of the contractions and my back problems it took almost 2 hours for them to fit the epidural and they had to use an ultrasound machine and 5 anaesthetis in the end. So it was only in for about 9pm. and as i was contracting all the way though the 2 hours i could not move and only had the gas and air to cope with the pain...

Contractions now stronger but still every 2 min was to be assessed again in 6 hours and in fact was checked about 10pm when it was confirmed baby had turned back to back and got stuck (breach) during this time and dispite hormone drip was still only 3cm the advised a cesarian I was in a lot of pain and tired so agreed. Baby born 11.24 and weighted 7lb .15oz breast feed quickly and she slept through the night is very alert and happy bunny.

Were were kept in 36 hours as she was so long before waters broke just to check on things.

Baby is very long almost fills the cot at the end of my bed in fact she 52cm long.

Shes been home a few days now and is feeding well and although she lost 9% of her body weight she has started to put some back on now and had had some normal bowel movements. Which i am told is the turning point in the baby coping with having been born and coping with breast milk.

I have had my staples out but cant drive or do any heavy lifting for another 5-6 week so there goes the garden for a while longer.

Okay I'm going to stick my neck out , big time here.  I'm sorry but I don't think there's one ounce of truth in this post. How anyone could think such a cold post had come from a new mother I do not know.  This is utter claptrap and complete attention seeking I fear.

I'm just worried about Jeannine.  I don't think she's seen the news yet and is probably still panting away in the corner somewhere ...  ;D ;D

Gorgeous baby Louise! c babies are always so lovely not having been bashed through the birth passage. All three of mine were caesarian births for a variety of reasons I won't shame the NHS with. Recovery is not that long - though you probably want to wait about 3 months before doing any heavy lifting and carrying. The sooner you get mobile the sooner everything will get back to normal but don't force it. Enjoy your beautiful daughter and many, many warm congratulations to you and Dad.

Oh thank goodness for that, I just managed a deep breath!!! Cam I have been puffing with you forever it seems!!!

Very well done Mummy, oh what a smashing word to be able to call yourself.

I absolutely blooming love the name, fabulous, and she is so long, well she will be using a hoe no doubt by this time next year.

It sounds as if it was a bit rough hun but you will get over it much quicker than you know and you will have lovely birth stories  to tell when you are my age.

You take care, My Mum always said "you will get a chill easily so be careful"

I really envy your first walk with that pram.

Please PM me your addy when you get a minute.
