Given me a laugh EJ.I can just picture them dancing about on the work surface when you've all gone to bed.
Earth fills her lap with treasures of her own.

I think they look wonderful - like Ents from the Lord of the Rings!

Parsnips from outerspace! hehehe.  See what happens when you start them off in a seed tray and plant them out.  All those little biddy root hairs were damaged and they became aliens!  I spent a good while cleaning, peeling and blanching them and they are now in my freezer.  Labour of love!  ;D

I've got a load like that as well and I didn't even transplant mine so I wonder what caused that ?
They taste fine though, even if they're trickier to peel.

I'm expecting mine to be a bit strange because my book said don't manure the soil. Since I was digging it for the first time anyway I thought I I'd manure it to help break it up a bit.

I haven't dug any yet, but if I get any U.P.Os  (Unbelieveable Parsnip Objects) I'll let you know.

Absolutely not Andy, straight and true they should be.  Darn sight easier to prepare!  ;D
