Topic: Planting a grape vine

Hi
I have a white eating grape vine in a pot on my patio. I want to plant it up at the allotment and I've been waiting till the area I want it in is ready (basically I've got round to clearing  ::) ). My question is what would be the best time of year to plant it out - Autumn or Spring?
