Well you have upset me for one, as my beetroot was rubbish this year, just didn't grow.  You certainly eat well, apart from last week.  I made the chocolate pumpkin cake and had it with ice cream, very nice.  Only other thing was green pepper with the salad which are growing in the bathroom as a bit late this year.  We did have steak but not from the allotment.

hunter butternut squash,anya potatoes and some onions ;D all cooked in the oven alongside some chicken breasts.

spuds and celeriac mashed together, and parsnips and roast spuds. washed down with a bottle of '08 raspberry wine. ;)

yesterday..tayberry sponge tray bake, all 15 of us enjoyed it as 11ses with our cuppas and rhubarb pie  today, must go on a diet again ;D

tea... salad includes cabbage, lettuce, toms, cucs, radish, ........ yum...  ;D

just made Hugh's 'butter nut - nut butter soup' and added a few ingredients to give a bit more heat - a few small turnips and a couple of black spanish radish - it was souperb  ;D - would be great with any squash methinks

Managed to cadge a fair few Lamb bones from my butcher, made a big pan of Scotch broth, added carrots, onions celery and barley, Made about 2 litres, in freezer now in individual portions. cost - the price of two tablespoons of barley 10p? How frugal is that?
