i noticed whilst shopping in sainsburys that they do there basics curry sauce for 4p,
anyone thats short of jars for preserving its a steal.
curry sauce not bad either although needed a little help.

4p, four pence, that's a bargain for a jar. I'll be heading to Sainsburgers for some of that.

water,tom puree,onion,maize starch,sugar,lemon juice,sultanas,rapeseed oil.
curry powder,whey powder,salt,vinegar,garlic powder,cayenne pepper,turmeric and preservative,
as it says on the jar.
but who cares we are only after the jar. :)

generally on the bottom shelf,by the curry sauces and rice and pasta.
they usually stick the sharwoods and pataks jars eye level.so just follow them downwards

I know Poppie1 but people (normal people) do buy jars to eat their contents....strange but true ::) :P

i returned to sainsbury yesterday evening,just to compare some sauces,and in actual fact,the 4p sauce has a lot less rubbish in  than some of the leading brands,ie preserves and colourants.
my original post was just to say,hey jars for 4p,as i know that they are not cheap.and the sauce is ok as well.
i was not saying just buy the jar and empty the contents,that of course is your choice,as was mine when i first bought it.i gave the sauce ago and found it ok.
