cinnibar caterpillar

is the cinnibar caterpillar a problem i thought it fed on ragwort but i found one yesterdayrday on another weed ?and i wondered if it might eat other stuff ?

I found some similar caterpillars yesterday, macmac - and also identified them as cinnibar caterpillars. I am not sure which weed they were eating, but I don't think it was ragwort. One website did say that they would eat other plants.

They eat ragwort alive and won't bother your crops so encourage them!
