Beetroot jelly.

I've found the recipe for beetroot jelly. The 1/2 pint of vinegar is that just plain malt or what?
Can beetroot be cooked in a slow cooker?

Hi Grannyjanny, I always cook my betroot in the oven (if it;s on for something else) or the slow cooker, it works a treat doesn't boil them to death and is easy on the electric bill.Though one old guy was boiling his down the lottie in an old pan over ametal grill burning recycled wood doesn't get more economical than that :)
p.s i sometime wrap them individually in foil,1'2 inch water in a lidded dish
sanity is overated

Granny its white vinegar not malted :) ans yes broot can be cooked in a pressure cooker.

I too cook mine in the oven with a little water and covered in foil so they stay soft and YUM they are so sweet that way.
