Looking after friends' chickens whilst she is on holiday! I am the morning person and she has afternoon and shutting in people also.
First lot 7 ex bats absolutely fine!
Second lot here favourite silkie bantams - totally obliterated. I was gobsmacked - I opened their pop hole and called them out and it was ominously quiet - went into the shed and there was complete pandemonium everything everywhere and two dead chickens in their night quarters.
Fox had got in by making hole in a pretty strong shed round an invisible area backing onto a wall.
I had to ring and tell her - I couldn't move the corpses - I am a complete wuus with regard to dead things and will go back up later when I have gloves on - I can cope if I have gloves on!!!!
Sad though - they were sweet little things.
