To be honest i dont think newly freed battery hens would cope !! they have so much to adjust to and getting hit on by a male might just be to much we lost 2 out of 10 and they where alone and spoilt rotten in a peaceful run  :(

It does depend on the boy he might just want to take care of them as they do call them to food show them around. Its the remaing hen I would be carefull with she has been top hen and willl want to make sure she still is this is where the boy will come into his own by sorting out disputes. They do have their uses ha ha.
