Is your allotment Hell in earth?

Mine certainly isn't!
Flighty's plot,  http://flightplot.wordpress.com,  is my blog.

His heart was never in it from the beginning.  An interesting point was made about the queen claiming to now have an allotment.  He is probably correct on that.  I do like some of his expressions...  "going into combat with nature"

He is just like the council worker who came to our allotment site last year. Steve and Carol had just taken the plot next to ours and had just started their first patch. The bloke came up to them and said" Your fighting a losing battle there mate what with the weeds and the vandals etc. Some of the folks on here spend all day here ya know thats why their plots look ok. Its a waste of time, dont know why you bother. We often talk about this happy go lucky bas***d
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

I think the issue is that some people take on a plot thinking it is all going to be easy. They are not looking for the long term rewards and not prepared for the potential difficulties. Then, when it isn't easy they give up.

I think there is a lot of truth in what he has to say.

The difference is he had no passion for his hobby.

A lot of plot holders give up for this reason.
