Two jobs in one?
« on: June 21, 2009, 09:47:44 »
I only have one spray bottle which is currently filled with soapy water for getting rid of greenfly. Can I use this for spraying over my tomatoes to increase humidity as well, or will the soap be a problem?

I wouldn't personally but if it is very dilute you might be ok... I'd worry about a build up of residue if you were using the soapy mix all the time, if you washed it out and then used the same sprayer no problems.  :-\

Increase the humidity by watering the floor with a watering can or hosepipe..

I was under the impression that tomatoes preferred a dry atmosphere though.

Why not just fill some buckets and stand them inside the GH

Eristic, A bit of humidity helps with ripening the tomato also helps to keep Red spider Mite away
