Pulled my first plant of epicure yesterday in the hope of having enough for a light lunch and salad etc. Was pleasantly surprised which means the other three rows are now fair game.....

Planted my Epicure 22nd Feb, and have been eating them since 22nd May . Used some fleece weighed down with filled milk bottles during the frosts.... (I'm in Wolverhampton) .  :)  Now wondering if Icould have planted earlier for next year....?

I don't think you gain much by earlier planting. Or, rather, not worth the hassle.

Ours went in 11 March & we lifted the first Swift 16 May. Two rows finished a week ago. Now well into two rows of Lady Christi.

But 'new potatoes', to me, are SMALL, cooked whole!!

We've had 7lbs of swift so far from 6 plants which means the potatoes have more than paid for themselves. They cost £5-80 & I gave 10 away. Just got back from physio & called at the local supermarket (posh one, Booths) & they have just dug potatoes at £1-99kg.

International Kidney today.  Delicious.  Planted Feb. 14th but I agree with Tim, those planted later caught up.
