How to lower Ph
« on: June 11, 2009, 16:21:35 »
My blueberry plant is yellowing.

How do I lower the Ph quickly?

I have replanted it in ericaceous soil, but won't this take some time to work.

Is there something I can add to the water?

I went to my local garden centre, but they didnt have any Sulphur crystals, only "sulphate".

Thanks for your advice,

Robot

@robototitico  - in my day sulphate was something entirely different and it could only be bought on street corners ;D

You could water with any of the liquid Ericacous plant feeds - dilute as instructed & direct onto the leaves... But am I right in thinking it's gone yellow since being transplanted? What was it growing in before?

They also don't like tap water, if you can use rainwater they apparently prefer that.

add to the water

Watch out for the tap water as well.  May need to use rain water.
