Non standard sheds
« on: May 26, 2009, 12:27:48 »
Here at Barriedale we have some of the worst sheds this side of the Thames!  Most of them have been fashioned from old windows, doors, pallets, laminate flooring and are held together by goodwill  and the God of recycling!

Can anyone of you boast a more motley collection  of sheds.

Yes - i think they are more valued for the (lack of) aesthetic appeal than for any actual vocational use.
I know for a fact that Irish Tom (first pic in first post) hasn't been able to get into his shed for years.  Unfortunately we now believe it to be holding the entire plot up so he cant take it down!

My word some of those look like an accident waiting to happen. We are not allowed sheds constructed out of various bits and bobs on our site. Quite a good idea I think. Plenty of sheds coming up on freecycle if people can't afford to buy one.

yes i did wonder if that was accessable ;D

i quite like the ramshakleness of them all even though some do look like they may fall down, if it does most likely it will be on the owner who built it or decided to keep it :-\. so on their head so be it ;).

Cheers tomatoada - I've seen some of the beautiful plots folks have on this site and I was beginning to think we were the only ramshakle outfit here!!!

I realise that it's not everyone's cuppa but I prefer the look of our site to the regular lines of identical sheds on some sites.  No one has ever required major surgery as yet!   We are in Sarf london near New Cross - part of reason is that our site looks like it contains nothing as valuble as a screw - helps keep the thieves out!"

They are at the front of the plot so you can sit and admire the wonderful sheds...  ;D
