yellow crops ??

this is my 1st year with an allotment,i have planted broad beans,peas and sweet corn these now look very yellow in colour why is this?

Welcome to A4A... most likely the wind we had chilling them if they weren't fully hardened off when you put them out...  :)

After that residual herbicides? Poor soil (not enough nitrogen) but my money is on the wind...

I have some french beans that had gone very yellow.  Had them cloched up so thought they had been cooked.  I am interested in your lack of nitrogen suggestion becuase there was some fresh manure on the site. 

Much against my organic principle I gave them some Miracle Grow and that seems to have perked them up.

some of our peas are looking yellowy so we've watered them all with seaweed feed  ;D

I find over watering and or bad drainage can also cause these symptoms!
