This little deer had been injured so someone took it into their home, whereupon the ridgeback took it under it's wing and they are now devoted to one another.

Lovely story and pics, Pat.  Friends of ours had a Rhodesian Ridgeback and he was a beauty.  Lovely quiet temperament almost dignified! even tho I believe they were originally bred to hunt lions in Africa and to guard cattle against same lions!

Oh Pat,
Makes you all warm inside seeing thoes pics, like Wicker said they were and most likey still breed for the Lions but show,s what a gentle side they have.

You are all my kind of people, who really appreciate the beautiful things in life.  When you see photos like this it beggars belief that some evil people can be so cruel to these creatures.  Thank you all for your nice comments :-* :)
