Welsh onions
« on: May 17, 2009, 14:45:07 »
I've been struggling with spring onions, and living here in Denmark, I've also struggled to get Welsh onions. So imagine how pleased I was today, out on a walk, to see a garden with a row of Welsh onions it it!

I had a chat with the man who lived there, and very kindly dug up a bunch for me. Here they are re-planted in my garden:

Bye bye White Lisbon! Why bother with spring onions when you can have these delicious plants! And they are perennials! ;D

They look very healthy. A kind fellow plot holder gave me a chunk of them. I had to look them up & thought how versatile they are.
