Rabbits with Chickens?
« on: May 12, 2009, 10:43:03 »
Some old-timers - older even than me - say their parents used to keep rabbits with their chickens..

Is this feasible?

Do they get on OK?

What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about?

We often have wild rabbits browsing in our chicken runs - they seem to ignore each other completely.

However, a few years ago when we had hens and a pet rabbit in a confined run the rabbit  was constantly trying to mount the hens - very amusing and tricky to explain to our 6 year old (what might have popped out of the egg :o).
