when to sow peas

We're going on hols in the middle of june and dont want to miss our maincrop of peas so when is the best time to sow ,so they will crop at the beginning of July onwards

You could sow maincrop peas mid May to get an early August crop.  Kelvedon Wonder or Hurst Greenshaft will do.

Just sow them and see.

If you think that you are allowed to have an allotment AND holidays, you either need a good friend to look after your plot whilst you are away or you ditch summer vacations for winter ones.#

If you have baby sprogs. You will need to control the freedom this has lost for you

You'll pay for your trip when you get back and find knee deep weeds! I had that situation the first year I did exam marking, which is one of the reasons I started burying everything in mulch.
