Up the plot and we know what each other means
When I get old I don't want people thinking
                      "What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
                    "Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

Some of ours are named after their previous tenants such as 118 (Mrs McCaig's)

"The garden"
When I tell the OH that I am at "the garden" in her mind the garden isn't far away and I won't be long. If I say "the allotment" she knows very well I will be back just before dusk..... hehehe
She still hasn't figured this one out. She also hasn't got the "I need to plant / weed / water / harvest  the stuff your dad gave me" Dad can do no wrong and she would be mortified if dads plants died (mine, no bother....)
All part of the fun of another growing season. The bindwind is getting it this year though, no prisoners.....

The Hill... the plot name is Beacon Hill (although it's more of a slight incline really lol).

 :-[OK - you can all jump on me for this one - we call ours "Over the Rainbow" and we have even decided to name beds after the characters from the film -we're in a magical world when we are up on our plot and its a fantastic feeling digging and planning to grow your own. Corny I know - but we love our allotment.

The builders yard ::)

For the reason when i first got it and was collecting stuff ,like 145 fagstones ,shed,greenhouse,cages and whatnot the old grumpy blokes on our site complained and said it looked like a ' the builders yard',so thats what me and people who know me call it that!!
