Lemon Grass
« on: September 15, 2004, 10:53:40 »
if anyone such as myself have the 1`st year of lemon grass growth, and don`t know what to do when "mowing the lawn", here`s an idea I tried and it works.

take all your "grass" cutting and put them into a food proc, and blitz it, then add enough olive oil to just cover the green mulch, and blitz it again into a gloop.
pour this gloop into a sauce pan and gently heat it for 10 mins, DON`T let it boil. allow to cool a little then pour the gloop through a fine mesh tea strainer into a bottle, the green oil will last for ages in the fridge, and is great for cooking with or adding to sauces and dips :)
say it with Flowers... Give her a Triffid :)
