Pumpkin Small Sugar
« on: April 14, 2009, 10:48:04 »
I have a spare packet which I don't need and was going to give some away to friends and have just opened the packet and counted the seeds - over 30 of them  :o . So if anyone wants some just let me know.
Theyre described as "Attractive little pumpkins with a high sugar content and sweet tasty flesh, ideal for roasting, soups and pies ..... and stores well". This will be my 1st year of trying this variety so don't know how true that description is!!

Growing them on the compost heap sounds a great idea, but I'm with manicscousers this time I'm going to see how they like heights!

Still a few more left if anyone else wants to try them or can find a space to squeeze some in  :D

Did anyone watch Beechgrove on Wednesday. It was suggested to plant squash between a cordon of fruit trees as he hated seeing empty spaces. What do you squash growers think? This is our first year for many things so need as much help as possible.
