Topic: Broad Beans - something eating them?

My broad beans we put in December-ish (yes, late, I know) but have come up well and are approx 8" tall now and generally doing well.  One query though - lots of holes on the leaves as if they are being eaten but I dont know what by?  I dont think it is slugs.  Any ideas?

does anyone know anything I can do to stop/mitigate this?  I was thinking of giving a little 'garlic wash' (saw this on gardeners world) but if it's not slugs/snails I am not sure of the wisdom of doing so....

I dont know anyone whos broad bean leaves dont get nibbled around the edges and the beans still grow on to give a great crop.

A garlic wash might work,no harm in trying
