HID says what do you find to do up the allotment all day.

sometimes i just sit and look at the view.

What does the view look like from your allotment?

Our view isn't as expansive, being in a valley. DebP posted pics recently in another thread. The view from Lauren's, off the south coast, is great, surprised she gets any gardening done at all...   8)

Mine is a little like the picture that has been posted, I'm off up there to feel sorry for myself tomorrow so I'll take a picture and post it..

Mine isn't anything like as picturesque! I have a railway embankment to one side, and a housing estate to the other. There are pictures in my blog (link below)!

It spurs me on... and this year now all the hard work is complete I WILL sit and enjoy the comings and goings of the river estuary/sea views.

I've been meaning to reply to you for nearly two years, many a happy time at Teignmouth, eating cockles, at the Zoo, through the tunnel.... my Sister is still up the road at Holcombe!

Our view looking north - on our other plot the only view is the backs of houses and the prison wall.

In the field on the left there will be 2000 new houses, if Cala Homes get their way  >:(

Being in the middle of a housing estate in Liverpool, we don't have much in the way of views but that's fine by me  ;D. We have a big privet at the front (& more plots behind), soon to be nice plot one side, bramble jungle on the other and we back onto a house. Still, it's quiet & secluded & is our little oasis of calm and we are already dreaming of long summer evenings chilling with some beer after a hard day's work 8)
