Which seeds don't last?
« on: March 20, 2009, 00:08:46 »
I now have a grand total of TWO beds in my garden, which I've filled up with greens that were growing in containers in my lean-to, and I STILL have more plantlets waiting for space. Meanwhile I've got all manner of seeds sprouting - peas, beans, other greens, herbs, flowers - and I'm thinking that I have got far too many seeds, in my enthusiasm, and would be better putting some of them aside till next year.
So - which types of seed last well, and which don't? I have some orach that I will plant later, as I'm advised that it doesn't keep well at all. Anything else I should use or lose? I won't list what I have, the list is too embarrassingly huge... :D

parsnip seeds need to be sowed the year you buy them as they don't last well.  :)

I never chuck old seeds away, I just broadcast them on a patch of ground and see what comes up.
