BBC2 8.30 tonight
« on: March 02, 2009, 18:36:08 »
A series of 6 programs about growing your own plants that can be used as
natural remedies for minor ailments. Hope it's as interesting as it sounds,
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

Watched to program and thought it was quite good for a half hour program. Now I want to get myself some hop seed. Already have the lavender.

been off ill for 8 weeks, and have only just started watching TV this week, so watched this today.  you can find out more (and I think download) from www.bbc.co.uk/growyourowndrugs  sounds a dodgy website, but it aint!!!

It was interesting.  I liked his comment on how you can be in a supermarket paying ridiculous prices for blackberries and they are probably growing in a hedgerow around the car park!!!  ;D

Only problem is, he'll be getting more people out picking what is currently easy pickings from our hedgerows...  ::) ;D

i really enjoyed it and learned one or two new things. i try and grow only things i can use, such as for dying, eating, beauty products, medicinal purposes, etc, so this series should be informative especially as he explains the science as well. its weird i came across a really good article the other day while surfing about growing your own pharmacy.

Thought I would be lost for something any good to watch once Victorian Farm had finished but found this programme very intresting and well presented.

Changing the subject but also find the Billy Connelly programme about Canada very good as well andnot a swear word in sight.  :)

Disappointing. I though a programme called Grow Your Own Drugs was going to be about something much more exciting!
