Dilema.......
Been on waiting list for nearest allotments for 4 years. Told at time of application that the land use was for smallholdings, not for allotments. In meantime another allotment site 3 miles away advertised for tenents. Took said allotment 3 miles away and have spent 18 months getting it up to scratch. It has been cleared of rubbish, dug by hand top to bottom and now has raised beds and permanent crops such as asparagus and fruit bushes\trees planted on it.
Have now been offered plot at nearest allotment site which is virtually at bottom of the street.
The new site has no other tenents - the other sites are used for storage. No water. No allotment association. Is quite noisy being near a main road.
What would you do? Give up the site you've worked so hard on in favour of location or stick with what you've got?
Options much appreciated :(
