A rod is 5.5 yards or 16.5 feet so divide 90 by 16.5 and 20 by 16.5 then multiply the two results together to give you the square rod area.

In Maidstone we pay £2.40/rod and £0.60/rod for water rates. So £3.00 per rod, really.

me again lol
just looked on the council web site for the allotments. it says that the price for the allotments i am on is £4.12 per rod. so that would mean i should be paying £26.78 not £45 for my 6.5 rod plot.
what should i do about this? i wouldnt mind a few pounds but that is a bit of a difference. anyone had experience of this?

thanks
