feeding chilli
« on: March 01, 2009, 17:09:15 »
on my 3rd crop of chillies from last years plant and the plants looking a bit worse for weather, know i can use tomato feed, but nothing else needing fed just now so was thinking of using one of those drip feed bottles you push into the soil, but i dont know which to get, some are for foliage and others for flowers - any suggestions would be gratefully received.

How about a sprinkle of guano (bird poo)? My chillies swear by it

Chillis (and other capsicums) go through magnesium at a fair old rate so you might want to stick a teaspoon of Epsom salts in with the watering every now and again....

reading the side of the chilli and pepper fertiliser I was given for my birthday it's a 4:4:12 for NPK (so a lot of potash) but has 10 for magnesium as well.....
