I would love a greenhouse, but cost is a big issue and also risk of vandals makes me wary of expensive investments....I know these are budget/cheap, but are they okay if fastened down?

I was thinking the poly-sheet type would be sturdier than the pvc panel ones.

Does anyone have one of them?

My next question is whether I should stick to the rules (nothing bigger than 6x4) or ignore them like everyone else  ;D. I doubt it would be enforced... but with my luck....

Yes I have one at home, it's in a very sheltered small corner, surrounded on three sides, south facing.
Not sure I would have one on an allotment, unless it too can be placed with lots of shelter. The poly walls won't stand up to strong winds. I think you would be forever putting them back in  ::)

Try asking on freecycle.....I've seen several lately from my area.  :D

Lauren your greenhouse looks so pretty tucked in that corner!

Buster - 'plan a' is to build my own mini polytunnel - but I was just hoping these g/houses would be okay as I am nervous of mucking it up if I diy my own design ;D I did see some reasonably priced tarpaulins on e-bay that I thought might be good instead of polythene though - looked nice and strong

Will probably stick with polytunnel at the plot - and get a nice greenhouse for home when we buy our own place ( :Pmay be a while then!)

Try the plastic four tier ones to start, might sounda bit c... but i bought ane a few years back when i started all this growing lark and they are great in the spring/summer.

And they only cost <20
