T&M (free P&P AND £5 off)
« on: February 18, 2009, 11:04:26 »
I have found (via luck) the following:

Use the following T&M link http://www.thompson-morgan.com/plants1/gwm.html - this is the gardeners world link.  You do not need to buy anything from here (though there are a few good "free" offers e.g. seeds and raspberries) but by using this T&M link you get free P&P

Then when you have something in your "basket" add the discount code given out with all their catalogues ZA-ZMGA-ZATA (you need to include the - signs) this gives you £5 off...

This combination gives you both free P&P and £5 off  ;D

Not sure when they will close this loop hole, but its there at the moment  ;D

note, you will lose the option of their free begonias with any order by using the gwm link, but I did one order for the begonias and the rest without as I didn't want many beginias!)

Grrr - looks like they are changing it... but its weird... as the gwm link is not even providing free P&P and the web page states it will...

The checkout page says something like you can only have one discount in operation at any one time so I suppose you either get the free P&P or the £5 but not both.

Its still working for me; both are applied... I don't understand why it doesn't work for you guys...

You must go to the gwm link below before adding anything to the basket and use the links from this page on the left to navigate round the rest of the site

edit - okay, here's a screenprint example.  the tree lily is just an example, its not part of the gwm offers

Figured it out.  The free P&P only applies to plants not seeds.  But you can still get the £5 discount off a seed order.

I find T&M expensive and gimmicky, and I very rarely use them.

Usually its for things I really want and can't get elsewhere this is how I found that much of their produce is out-sourced!  Guernsey comes to mind (VAT free to them but not to us)

I recall years ago p&p was free, then they upped it to £3-95

I don't think that went down well so they upped it to £4-95  and gave you a voucher for £5 so basically they are back to inclusive p&p

Or am I being too cynical?

and the number of catalogues they send out once they get your address is phenominal. I think last year I received about 5 or 6 sets of catalogues I've had two already this year and its still February.
