Two out of how many? I lost two out of six, but the six includes two hives which were passed on to me in December. They were treated for mites, with a chemical to which they are now resistant. One died out, the other is showing signs of the viruses the mites carry. Hopefully it'll recover as the broodnest expands.

I think there are 23 left? the 2 he lost were a weak queen one and a late swarm he collected, all the rest seemed to be quite busy yesterday.they are in a 'woodland glade' type setting, with loads of snowdrops around them! his main over winter problem are green woodpeckers!

Yes, I got it. They put me on the local BKA committee at the AGM last night. Apparently it's only a couple of meetings a year so it shouldn't be onerous.
