When I was working working at Hawkmoor Hospital (no longer there but you may remember it!) in 1967 nothing came up or down the drive for a week we  were snowed in.
 :-\ We don't get winters like that anymore  :( and for me, now on the coast, this is heavy snow  ;D

A friend of ours use to live in the ferrymans cottage right next to the crossing...stayed there for a few days,gorgeous place  :)

Torpoint is between plymouth and cornwall on the border, Torbay is on the coast, Torquay and Paignton,
