Wilko's
« on: January 22, 2009, 14:08:23 »
Following on from Shirlton,
bought 14 packets of veg. seeds yesterday for £7.50. Was 10 quid but at cash out they knocked 27% off!

I was in the other day and came out with gloves and a pkt of them posh Johnsons seeds Romanesco. Our favourite veg now since growing them last year. I did look for some of those Maxim sprouts that TeeGee showed us but they don't do them. Will have to look elsewhere.

Now thats what I call a good idea Lish. Those of us who are interested in wilkies and poundshop bargains could all meet up and have a rave up. Do you think Sutton Coldfield is ready for the likes of us though Lish. Lol

Thanks sadad.  Will be going up to Ashbourne and on into Derby next week.
Are wilkos and Wilkinson the same firm?  We have a Wilkinsons in Northfield which is not too far from me but they never have the bargains mentioned on line.
Might catch the train to Sutton if the weather gets warmer or pop over in the car.   I use to like shopping in S.C.

Wilkinson's in Northfield's the pits now, I reckon. Used to be able to buy allsorts of useful garden  stuff there, but now they've taken over a goodly portion to sell bloomin baked beans and pappy sliced bread :o Should be a Law against it >:(

One in Sutton's BRILLIANT and I'm not saying that just because me mate Shirl's got shares in the place ;D

The Pound Shop in Sutton's really good too 8)

The one in Acocks Green is a good one, but the ones at the Maypole (Junction of of Alcester Road (A435) & Maypole Lane) and Kings Heath are small and only stock a limited selection.

For Derbyshire, does Worksop count, they used to have a really good one (especially as the enormous distribution is close by). What about Gainsborough, thats also a good sized store.
