Spraying Fruit Trees
« on: January 06, 2004, 17:12:38 »
During December I sprayed my fruit trees and bushes with Mortegg (which is a winter tar wash for those who don`t know.) As this has now apparently been banned, I was wondering what is the new medium for this purpose, if anyone knows. Probably the same stuff with a different name, no doubt??!!  >:(

Hello Bob, here is a RHS notice -

Murphy Mortegg Winter Wash (based on tar oils) will be withdrawn and there are no immediate replacements for its particular use.

Thanks for the welcome on the other thread, D.
Don't think anyone will be peeping round the house corner, but if you don't use it now, I should get rid at the local gov chemical waste site.

Do you know I do not know if we have one! Will have to call the council and find out! I probably have a shed stocked full of illegal substances doanted from people over the years, they seem to forget I am organic so the majority just sits on my shelves ;D
