Topic: My shed - your ideas please

Just left my allotment  :( but gained a garden. It is empty except for my new blackcurrant, raspberries and cherry - all of which look like sticks atm

But it has this impressively massive shed. (it's bigger than it looks!) Made of concrete blocks with chipboard front.

I wonder what I could do with it. Maybe paint it? Maybe grow a climbing plant on it? I'd really like to have your ideas.

I have very twee tastes personally, but even sophisticated and chic ideas welcome!

Grow a montana clemetis over it, after a couple of years you won't notice it.

   Oooh that shed is so asking for the  ' works ' isn't it   ----  sooooo, how about a jungle

   hideaway complete with a veranda,  plenty of lush growth around the front so you have to hack

   your way through !    Or, a seaside theme - with stripes and sand and shingle and wood posts and

   boaty things !  Or, .............   green ?

I quite like the seaside idea - maybe stripes I've got some pale blue gloss paint and white as well.

And yes - a clematis montana with a window and door cut into it would be quite nice too!

you don't say what the aspect is but that shed is a focal point for sure so it really needs something, preferably with a lot of colour or some interest all year round - can't see what the roof is like but a roof garden would be good for wildlife

it's south-west facing.

the roof is a flat roof of chipboard with felt on top, and also in need of repair. growing things up there isn't something I'd thought about - how would I go about that?

I'm going to think about the living roof idea.

and while I'm at it - I need to make those massive concrete walls into 'living walls' as well with some climbers. The big concrete blocks are topped with heavy timbers like joists or something.

I think whoever did the garden in the past did things a little too thoroughly!
