Concratulations! But what is it- I'm baffled? It's not ginger. Not potatoes, correct? or are they some kind of tiny potatoes? Beats me.

Jerusalem artichokes (not to be confused with globe artichokes).  Quite disgusting veg, but I think we are the only people who don't like them.  :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[

Yes, Jerusalems, sent to me by Sarah shortly before she took up a new allotment where marestail and brambles don't grow.  ;)

Did well at the show, 14 firsts in all.  Came away with plenty of silverware.

Cheek of it Ruud!  The saddest thing was blight hit my allotment whilst we were on our hols and nearly wiped out all of my toms.  However, I did get a second for my Winsconsin Peach toms, and I love them as they are so furrrrry and soft and unblighted!

Yes E.J,winconsin peach is a great tom, blight hit me hard on my allotment, outdoor toms got almost wiped out,but in the greenhouse they did great.Strange but the toms on my backyard didnot suffered blight and they are also outside.

Congrats from me too E.J. on your success in the show, especially with those J.A's - & so good to see the 'Danbury & Little Baddow' name on your prize ticket ;) being an Essex girl myself, makes me feel a bit homesick for my County

Thanks Hot Pot.  We were in Chelmsford at the weekend and passed by that pub that you and I had lunch in and I thought of you.  Hope you are well!
