ANOTHER PUMPKIN QUESTION!
« on: September 16, 2008, 19:12:10 »
My pumpkins are progressing and changing colour nicely, however where the pumpkin is attached to the plant[the thick stem] this thick stem is going brown and looks like it is breaking up. Is this a sure sign that I should be picking them now?

Duke ~~~~~sorry I didn't have a picture of the stem!

dont be fooled by the name I am a Lady!! :-*

No, they have still a bit to go. I leave mine until the foliage has died down, or till frosts start.
