dinner time
« on: September 07, 2008, 01:56:13 »
well today i went to the lottie,
and for dinner we ate fish (not from the lottie but could have been with all the rain) and picked loads more runner beans (freezer getting full) carrotts they are great straight and juicy,  corn on the cob fantastic they are, dug up the final lot of the extra spuds that hub planted from spuds that I had left too long in the cupboard, main lot of spuds going to be dug in the next couple of weeks.
I chipped the spuds and they were very tasty.

also picked beetroot, which i will boil tommorow.

so all in all i think im getting my 5  portions that the gov recommends.

also picking lots of apples that are on the end of our plot.

the pumpkins are doing well, it it safe to pick out the growing points as they are in danger of getting on to the plot next door.

pumpkin about 30 ins atm and others not far behind, h

ow do I know when they are ready to pick
