I would call it James, and use it for holding the door open.

Perhaps you should change your name to " Agreatlackofhumorgardener " as it appears you have none.
Its not a bad thing on this site in fact its quite refreshing to sit and have a giggle at some comments that get posted, i find it heart lifting, more so when i have had a S*&$ e day.

It's obviously a cane plant with waxy leaves. Best I can come up with is a rubber plant?

TGG,

Do you know the answer?  Is this some sort of challenge?  I thought the idea of A4A was to help and encourage people, and to share ideas, not to quiz them?

blythvalley yes I know what the plant is.
If you don't want to guess don't post.
But a simple guessing game is harmless to all.

Humor has it's place.  But posting off topic continuously is sign that you might be a troll.
But in ollie ,rosebud and George case this already proven fact.

A pic quiz in the gallery is perfectly acceptable. Kew.

normally i'd leap right in with a stupid comment but OllieC beat me to it. BTW If it takes me longer to think of something stupid to say, does that make me more stupid, or less stupid? Says it all really. I'm not even clever enough to say how stupid I am

in short FICUS ASHORTPLANK

made a date for the 25th. I'm on tenterhooks already

The Ficus part has got to be right. Ficus Elastica 'Robusta'. And it's uses? Something to do with absorbing formaldehyde?

So much hostility, tgg! No need to call someone stupid just cos they made a joke! Why oh why do you always make it personal? It's alright though, I forgive you!

I'm not sure of the Latin name, but in English it's "The only thing in the opening post with a life".

Who's George?

ollie you can tell jokes when you learn how to tell them. These forum are not proper place to act like a  fool you seem to want to be.  Come back after you learn to place nice with others.
