Hi all,
Chow Chow is a mustard pickle (like piccalilli) made with summer vegetables including, cu`s cauli, green toms, carrots, french beans, pepers & onions.
I believe a mangel wurzel is a type of swede usually fed to cattle. I may be wrong on that one  ???

Chow Chow is a mustard pickle

Wrong! Maybe. The chow chow in the picture is a fruit, well it would be if it grew up quite a bit.

The worzel is indeed a beet and I tried a small one for supper the other night. I pinged it in the reactor like a jacket potato and the resulting taste was very similar to beetroot. I will be experimenting more.

I don't do recipes, it's either raw, nuked or crock pot until I get my new kitchen. (And someone to drive it).
