My new allotment
« on: July 29, 2008, 16:36:16 »
Hi all,

So.... I went to see my new allotment for the first time today, Got my own gate key,

I entered the plot and found rhubarb, :)  raspberry and blackberry bushes, :)  rose bush, watering cans, 2 water butts and 3 compost heaps. Its was so much fun, the thought of what I can turn it into and I have everything already there,
I can't wait to get down there tomorrow and start getting rid of all the bindweed that has worked its way around the plot.

I will post some before and after pics on here once I have got started.

Welcome.  Nice start to the joy of things to come.  Water butts are always difficult to come by.

How great, I can feel the excitement from here!!! It is fab when you first take on a plot, then the realisation kicks in (  ::) )   but you soon find the enjoyment and excitement again when you harvest all that home grown produce!!!! Good luck and you must show us pics!

Sounds as if you have hit gold Graham we had nothing on our first plot and on our second plot only a few decent raspberries oh and not forgetting endless clumps of lovely sweet mint! Hel.xxx.
