chitting
« on: February 06, 2004, 10:59:04 »
Thanks to Tim and Ceri I now have a dozen potatoes chitting away in my spare room.

Some of the shoots have little side shoots coming off them. Is that right?

Mine are coming on nicely  ;D but i only leave 3 shoots on one potato as i've found that more than that and they get leggy  >:( .

It's nice to be back on the site and thanks for all your support, i'll answer all the questions but give me time as i've got to read the board  ;D .

Jethro - take it easy there with the digging. I know it's hard. I broke my elbow last spring, so spent much of the early summer doing left-handed trowling - takes a bloody long time to dig a decent hole! When I started using both arms again, I really hurt myself by over doing it. But now I have two fairly workable arms, so I suppose all the exercise must've done me some good!
