Need to restock
« on: July 13, 2008, 10:28:08 »
Due to various house moves a lot of my wine making kit has got damaged/broken and I now need to replace it before I can start brewing again.
Since Boots no longer stock anything, I need a decent supplier.
My most pressing concern is replacing the filter kit - the Boots one was really good - and getting a decent high alcohol tolerant yeast - again I used to use the boots one.
Apart from that I need a few consumables - bungs, air locks etc.

Can anybody recommend a decent brand/supplier?

WWW.ARTOFBREWING  ARE AS GOOD AS ANY IVE LOOKED AT.
4.99 DELIVERY CHARGE SO ITS WELL WORTH GETTING ALL YOUR PURCHASES IN ONE GO.
If it ain't broke don't fix it !!

The best I have come across is.
http://www.hamstead-brewing-centre.co.uk/catalog.htm

If they don't stock something you want they can get it in specially, reasonable prices, fast delivery & everything is very well packed I have ordered a lot of glass items from them over the years & never had a single breakage.

High alcohol wine yeast = Gervin GV26 used with gervin minavit nutrient.
Filter = Bueno Vino Minijet  is probably the best around but is not cheap so it takes a long time to pay for itself.
