About time I posted some pics, I think!

The pond was done - (all in one day!) - in January this year. The pics show some of the stages of its development. It finished up about 7½' long and about 4' wide at its widest part.

This is the view I now have from my bench. Can't tell you what a delight it is just sitting and watching all sorts of insects including various kinds of damselflies and dragon flies. Although I said I wouldn't have fish, I missed the tadpoles so much when they 'left home' that I bought 5 small goldfish. They're wonderful to watch.

My beautiful little pond is definitely the best addition to my garden - ever!

Hope you like it, too!

Quite an attractive pond!  I like the gravel going right up to the sides- gives it a different, clean look. I saw a pond once where they ran grass right up to the edge and it gave that same appearance which is a nice change from the ring of rocks. Thank you for sharing the pictures.

It looks really lovely Grandma, you are right to be proud of it. I spend hours gazing into ours even though there only seems to be daphne and water boatmen in there at the moment. The larger frogs spend lots of time hovering there in the water as well.
I was born with nothing and have most of it left.

No tadpoles ever again then :(

Apart from this, your pond looks great - cheers for posting the pics!
