The other day I was face to face with a fledgling robin but I didn't have the camera close at hand.  Knew if I moved an inch, it'd be off.  Ah well.

Lovely Sam.  I have swallows nesting in at my front door, 6 in the nest, they hatched about a week ago.  They make a hell of a mess but I don't care.  I have an open newspaper underneath the nest and turn a page now n then.  I think they are special little birds and could well be my favourite.
