Will we get fruity
« on: May 15, 2008, 20:24:03 »
We have never grown fruits before so on our second plot and in our second season we planted Blackcurrant, Redcurrant a Cherry tree and a Plum. Are we likely to get any fruit from these this year?.

Cheers
Tony

I think you will.

If the cherry and the plum have had blossom and you have not had a frost in
that period you should get some fruit.
If they are very young trees pick them off at early  stage so tree can concentrate on building up a good rooting system. ;D

If you had flowers on the blackcurrant and redcurrant, mine are in flower now, you should get fruit. Remember to net them against the birds or you will harvest no fruit!!
